LEARNING TO LEARNThe evidence is becoming overwhelming that there are substantial benefits derived from teaching students ‘how’ to learn before teaching them ‘what’ they learn. One school that adopted the six-step learning model showed an amazing 18% improvement in class grade averages over the previous year. We
have heard on the grapevine that in the past week the British
government has issued a directive that learning to learn is to be
introduced into the British school system as a standard curriculum
subject. The
first major report on learning was published online by the Campaign
for Learning, an independent British non-profit organization. If you
would like a copy and were unable to download it from the link given
in my last Multi-Mind-Memo, please email me and I will send it to
you in a PDF file. Since the online report, there has also been an official book published called “Teaching pupils how to learn”. This is recommended reading for anyone interested in improving education. The book is available on our web site at www.accelerated-learning.com. Another
highly recommended book is “Learning to Learn” by Gary Burnett.

THE LEARNING REVOLUTION
This outstanding book has sold an astonishing 10 million copies worldwide since it was first published in 1993. It has been constantly updated and has been difficult to find in the USA recently because it is between printings. We now have the latest version in inventory. It was published in England and is perfectly suitable for the American market.
